Interconn Resources, Inc. was incorporated as a private company in Alabama in 1997 by Kevin R. Stump. Prior to starting Interconn, Mr. Stump spent seventeen years in the natural gas industry gaining experience in the areas of sales & marketing, business development, and regulatory affairs. Mr. Stump started Interconn with the objective of continuing to provide excellent customer service and creative solutions to customers requiring natural gas and propane supplies, transportation, and storage. Interconn completed its first year with revenues in excess of $10 million dollars. By 1999 Interconn was listed as the seventh fastest growing new company in the U.S. by Dunn and Bradstreet's Entrepreneur Magazine.

Built on a foundation of customer service, Interconn continues to execute a strategy that focuses on individual customer needs. Facts support its success. In the 2005 Mastio Company Customer Service Survey, Interconn ranked third out of thirty-two regional gas marketers in North America. Growth has been phenomenal. Today revenues exceed $350 million and market share continues to grow annually. The Company maintains a large credit facility with the energy commodities division of a major international bank. This facility is designed to support its continuing growth and volatile commodities prices.

In May 2007 Interconn announced the opening of a Florida Division headquartered in St. Petersburg. The Division is anchored with personnel having over 30 years of natural gas experience, approximately half of that in Florida. Interconn expects to build on its core customers in Florida that it has served for several years including, Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral, Miami-Dade County, and Patrick Air Force Base.
